sewing help, please!

since im poor, im going to make this for my mom for christmas:

i already bought stuffing and fabric (it has bluebonnets on it, since we're texans. haha) and i know pretty much how to do all of it, im going to have to sew it by hand though since we dont have a sewing machine, but thats not a problem.

but i do not know how to attach the limbs and head to the main body? once i have all the parts sewn together and stuffed, how do i discreetly stitch them to the main body? since they are going to be little pillows that i need to connect. if somebody can please take a look at that link, and explain to me in near-caveman like terms on how i would do that, id be super thankful!
