I stenciled something onto a shirt using fabric paint, something i've done a BILLION times (orrr sooo) before... now, since it was for someone else, I heat set it, as the instructions told me to...

AND IT TOTALLY MESSED UP THE WRITING. The shirts were dry... and it did texturize (which it said it would) but only certain parts of the letters... i think it looks AWFUL and now I have to sell this shirt and had to lower my price...and I'm just so upset and bothered by it...

So... how do YOU heat set things? Or do you not bother? I usually don't bother if it's for me, and to be perfectly honest, my shirts last so far, completely intact.
