Three shirts, one messenger bag, two purses, and one brand new sewing machine that made a certain girl very happy this Christmas.

This is a black Old Navy shirt.. one the front is a patch: a strawberry stencilled onto white tshirt fabric, handstitched around, attached to the shirt with that iron-on tape sticky stuff, with safety pins as decoration. On the back is another patch on the same fabric with handstitching and attached with the same stuff and safety pins, and it says "Living is easy with eyes closed, Misunderstanding all you see." It's from "Strawberry Fields Forever" by the Beatles. And the writing was an iron-on.

Another Old Navy shirt, bright pink. Saaaame white tshirt fabric with "Do I look PHAT in this?" stencilled on. The stencil was extremely sloppy so I just kinda made the rest of it look messy. I don't think it looks too terrible. Then that was just ironed on using that tape stuff. It would be so nice if I knew what it's called. ANYWAY the other shirt is an Old Navy off-the--should shirt with an Elliott Smith iron-on. Nothing special.

HUGE PICTURES. Sorry. But anyway this is a messenger bag made from some pants that I hated. On the front is a little cartoony picture of Weezer ironed onto that SAME white tshirt and sewn to the flappy thing[first picture]. When you lift the flap, there's two zipper pockets from what used to be the back of the pants, and what used to be the front of the pants is now the back of the messenger bag [third picture]. It's pretty cool because all the zippers are still intact. And the inside of the pants had a really nice net interior, so I kept the same interior for the bag. No need to line it.

LAST ONE. Whew. Okay, the pink and white purse is made of Monopoly money, obviously. Laminated, lined with poster board and a pink shirt. The orange and white purse was made from white corduroy pants and an orange shirt, which the dinosaur, lining, and handles are made of. That was my first sewing machine project, so it's a bit messy. Aaaaand that's my sewing machine. I just got it for Christmas and did that purse and the messenger bag so far. I'm pretty much in love with it.

K, the end. Finally. :] Merry belated Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/everything else.
