Hi guys, hopefully you can help me with this, and apologies for the text-only post.

I've been to almost every fabric store in the city looking for off-white sheer cotton voile. Sounds easy, but almost no one has it (or it's another color). The only store that does have cotton voile sells it for $16 a yard, which I don't wanna pay.

Is there any way I can soak muslin in anything to age it and make it soft and sheer? I know that one designer did that a while ago with t-shirts to make them vintagey, but I'm lost as to how to go about it without destroying the fabric. Do I use water and salt? Vinegar? How long would I soak it for?

Any suggestions would be great. :)
