Ornaments

For Christmas (as I usually do), I made ornaments for my sisters. This time, I made painted glass bulbs, but the name is rather misleading, since all I really did was drip colors into these bulbs and then let the colors drip out. I let my sisters pick their own ornaments this year instead of wrapping them (and I gave my mother first pick since she rarely winds up with ornaments from me). Of all the ornaments I've done, these are by far the easiest, but I don't think I like them nearly as much as the paper bag ornaments or the felt ornaments (pictures of which will have to wait, since I don't have any). There are 16 pics behind the cut (each one 400x300).

The begining of the project, after the dishsoap and vinegar mixture, that is (yuck!). There are already some done off to the side.

Putting the paints into the bulbs was fun and easy...

(3)
Letting the paints drip out and create beautiful designs was also fun and easy...

About halfway done here... It might be possible to see the paint in the egg cartons if you look closely.

(6)
The paint puddles are definitely visable here. The greenish-blue long ornament in the back is one of my favorites.

(7)
These also were favorites, both the red and blue.

I love how these colors turned out!

(9)
These were still dripping when this was taken.

(10)
These look slightly different than the previous picture due to the paint dripping.

All boxed up to go up north for Christmas....
