Hi! this is my first post. I got this Votive from this months Family Circle. Its on the cover and looks really pretty. My kids and I are making them for family as Christmas Gifts.




Bead-dazzling Votive
Supplies-

• Frosted Glass votive

• 28 gauge wire

• blue, pink and yellow glass beads

• blue sead beads

• gem tack glue

• needle nose pliers

• wire clippers

Making Frame-
Cut length of wire three times the circumference of top of votive. Fold in half; twist wire tightly around itself until entire length is twisted. Measure side of votive to center bottom. Double obtained measurement adding 5". Cut six lenghts to obtained length. Fold in half, leaving small loop for top ring to run through; twist folded lenghts as before for side spokes. Thread first piece through top loops. Wrap top ring around top of votive, trimming excess and twisting ends to first fold to secure. Space side spokes evenly and bends down to meet at the center bottom: twist ends together. Trim excess.

Decortating-
Cut a lenght of wire to fit losely around top of votive. Twist one end to one spoke. Thread blue glass beads on wire, moving from spoke to spoke, twisting wire around each spoke before beading the next loop. Reapet to string a row of pink and yellow beads a bit below blue beads and along bottom of votive. Glue on a blue bead to cover twists at top of each spoke. Cut six 12" lenghts of wire. Fold one end to make a small loop; thread with seed beads, leaving 2" at open end with no beads. Twist length into spiral shape with loop end in center. Arrange sprials between spokes as shown. Cut and twist lenghts of wire to secure edges of sprials to spokes. Cut six short lenghts of wire, folding one end to make loop. Thread a blue on each length and twist around lower edge of spokes as decorative feet.
