I'm new here, though I've been reading the posts for about a week now. I have recently got into crocheting, and it's becoming really enjoyable. I like to sew a little, but I'm not all that great at it. Other artsy things I like are computer related... graphics design and things like that.
Well if you want to see a couple things I've made recently...
I'm not too great at taking pictures, so this scarf I crocheted is nice and blurry ;)

Here is a closer look... I just used the Bernat Boa yarn and double crochet for the whole thing... really simple.

Here is a hacky sack... I followed a pattern similar to this one, only I can't find the original I used. I think the yarn I used was too thick though because it ended up larger than I intended.

I also made a hat and put cow appliques on it. My puppy wanted to wear it though ;)

Finally, here is a bag I just sewed together out of bits and pieces last night. I ended up using a shoelace for the handle and also to tie the bag closed (it comes undone in the back to open it)... thought that was kind of creative, but my sewing is not the best ever, heh.

On a side note, when I was a little kid, I used to enjoy making those little friendship bracelets that look like this with tying knots and stuff. Did anyone else ever do this? Do these actually have an official name as a craft, or are they just friendship bracelets?
