A call for help!
Mar. 21st, 2005 02:09 pmHello surgeons! For my graphic design class we need to create and design a preted magazine geared toward the 20-30 somethings of today that they would find interesting. The project consists of a cover, table of contents, and around a 3 page article that we have to write and design. Obviously, I am doing mine on the current DIY craze in life and fashion. Here is where you ladies and gentlemen may come into play.....
I am looking to hear your reason why you DIY. Your own DIY manifesto if you will
When did you get started?
what is your main expertise?
What do you do with your finalized pieces?
I am looking for seasoned professionals to do little bios of and am especially interested if you have created your own "company" where you sell your wares (either at craft shoes, in local stores, or on-line) FRAU LIEBE, I'm looking at you!
also, if you have any professional, hipster-like looking large scale pictures (8x10) include that in your response (maybe a shrunken version of the photo)and I might need you to e-mail them to me to use as the cover or for the main spread.
sadly I won't be able to use all of you (thought I wish I could), but any replies will give me more material to use. Don't worry, I'll try to make you look as professional as possible and stick to the true facts about you. I'd specifically like to look for people who aren't using copyrighted material (nothing out of SnB or other instructions, band songs or lyrics, threadless stencils, etc) but rather original works that you feel are magazine worthy.
