Okay kids, super quick question...

I have these here Creepers in black.



I love 'em to death, but I got them when I was, like, 13, and I'm not a big fan of the skulls anymore. Would it be all horrible and disasterous if I (very carefully!) seam-ripped the skulls off my Creepers and painted on another symbol/shape/thing in its place? Like, would it leave gaping holes or something? I don't want to ruin them!

They're leather, if that helps any.
