Intergem Show
Dec. 15th, 2002 02:35 pmI had so much fun yesterday at the International Gem, Bead, and Jewelry Show. I just wanted to share my experiance.
We got there around 9:50. Some people told me that if I got there early, I would have to wait in a long line, well, they were right. It went by quick though. I couldn't believe all the neat beads I found! There were many that looked pretty bad, and you could tell that they were fake. Such as a strand of pearls that were painted so poorly that half the beads were stuck together. I want to believe that I got some pretty good deals. The only thing I got that is questionable is a strand of tumbled quartz beads. They are all extremely clear with almost no flaws, so they probably are glass. But they are pretty glass! :)
For those of you who are interested, here is the list of the things I got for UNDER $100.
*16" strand of 2mm light blue cat's eye (I LOVE cat's eye beads)
*16" strand of 12mm dark blue cat's eye
*36" strand of goldstone chips
*36" strand of rhodinite chips
*18" strand of flourite cubes (these are beautiful, green and purple)
*blue goldstone tubes
*quartz crystal points/pendents (this is a very long strand, probaly like 3 feet, and they look like smooth quartz points with a hole through the base, very neat)
*rose quartz tumbled beads
*amethyst tumbled beads
*clear quartz tumbled beads
*goldstone donut
*pink cat's eye donut
*hematite donut
*rose quartz arrowhead
*furnace beads
*16" strand of 10mm rose quartz rounds
