This semester I took a book arts class. It was a lot of fun but threatened to kick my butt at times. This is my final project, an edition of ten books, wrtten and illustated by me. <3 The photos really suck, but it's the idea behind the whole thing.





The books folded up and tied nicely.


Open the cover and you get an inside pocket! Inside the pocket is the table of contents.


The bastard title page! Even if it is, I love it so.


The decorative title page! This book was printed by Pirate Princess Press... aka me.


Wings and things! And my bad poetry. The blue feathered wing was one of my favorite---er layouts.


I am going through my 'obsessively paint wings and write emo poetry about love' artistic phase.


Demon's wings! Demon is actuially a nickname of someone I know. All of the wings have names because that remind me of people. This is my second favorite layout.


Boring! But still very pretty.


The book called for a pop-up element! So here we are. That is the 'Bitterfly'. If I had butterfly wings they would look like that.


Gay wing'd creatures unite! No really, I just like rainbow color schemes.


These wings needed their own pages. And, apparently, each wing needed it's own poem as well.


The aqua wings look so much better in rl. One of my better wing sets.


I had no specific idea for those two poems or wings. I just opted to smoosh them together.
