another papermaking question
May. 15th, 2005 01:08 pmhas anyone ever tried adding shredded silk flower petals to the pulp? i have a set of hideous roses in the collest of colors and am ever looking to find a use for them that gets them out of the rose form.
i was thinking of cutting the petals into thin strips (think jullienne in cooking terms, matchstick thickness-ish) and adding the strips to the first stage of the hot water on the torn paper bits, so to soften them, but i'm wondering is if should soak them separately so they don't completely pulverize.
thoughts? advise? please?
