May. 24th, 2005 12:24 amAt the store I work at I saw a men's striped button down shirt that kind of had a negative image flower picture on it. I should have taken a picture because it's easier to understand if you can see it, but basically, I think the look could be recreated by bleaching a pattern into the shirt. I don't have much experience with bleach, except when I've splashed it onto myclothes and made unintentional spots. I was thinking I would just paint a flower onto the shirt with bleach so it would take away, or at least lighten the color of the stripes. Do I use straight up bleach, or do I have to dilute it? Will it spread through the shirt, or will the bleach effect only happen right where the brush stroke is? Do I have to put it in the sun for it to lighten, or will it just work on it's own? Can anyone with experience point me in the right direction?
