folded flowers
Jun. 15th, 2005 11:28 pmafter seeing so many of these i thought i'd go ahead and give it a go.
They're really simple to make and yet look a lot more detailed than they are.
Anyway i made three.
Let me know what you think.

for this one i sewed a safety pin to the back and have attached it to a bag i bought. This one is made out of regular cream calico and a plain black button.

For this one i alternated the size of petals to give it a more interesting look. I used a retro fabric with random designs on it. The button is plain red and the ribbon was just glued to the back. I think i'll make this into a badge to wear on skirt and jean pockets. what do you think?

This one was really fidderly as i tried to make it as small as possible. It's made from pastel striped cottom and has a dark blue button with a little gem stuck in the middle. I then used a glue gun to attach the flower to a hair clip.

All three together! hurrah.
Let me know what you think, oh yes and the tutorial i used was: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=24944.0
I recommend it, the instructions are really clear and there are loads of other peoples examples up there too.
If you make any don't forget to show me!
take care h xx
