Knitting in the round
Aug. 1st, 2005 10:41 pmHelp me decide whether to buy double pointed needles or circular needles to do my first knitting project in the round.
With circular needles I made the realization that if I'm going to do a decreasing pattern, like a hat, I'd need more than one length of circular needles to finish, right?
With double pointed needles, I wouldn't have that problem, but starting off, I can see myself getting confused on which needle goes next.
I bought the Clover brand circular needles today... but in ignorance got the 29" long ones. What the hell am I gonna make that's 29" long? Another con, I'm thinking.
Does this make sense? Do you guys have any other pros and cons for each type to help me decide? I know in the end it's a matter of preference, but I'd like to hear your guys' opinion.
