Update and questions
Nov. 15th, 2005 01:14 pmso i made a "chair" phone holder for my friend. it was my first time using an aluminum foil armature with Sculpey, so it's a little less smooth than i would have liked. but my friend loved the gift. thank you to whoever suggested i add a remote, he loved it! the BK are his initials

1st question:
i made this for the same friend. it's just a pic of him with his fiance that i've decoupaged to a wood block i'd painted red. it's so plain though. what should i add to it to make it look better?

2nd question:
i want to try my hand at mixed media for a gift for another friend. he's a musician (plays bass) so i was thinking of something on canvas. my idea was to take some sheet music and a torn pic of a bass guitar and decoupage them to canvas. then finish the guitar myself in acrylic. but not sure what else to add? also, what's the best way to glue paper to canvas? will mod podge suffice?
thanks in advance for all your help! :)
