Frosty felt frames.
Dec. 8th, 2005 01:12 pmBoth my husband and I both live relatively far away from our families, his in Vegas, mine in Jersey.
This is tough for a number of reasons. No built-in babysitters tops that list!
But also that our little babe doesn't get to see his grandparents and adoring aunts all that often.
We keep them up to date and involved as much as we can through many, many pictures.
I came up with these little guys to dress up wallet size photos of our Chicken.

I used craft felt, embroidery thread, batting, and a pair of scissors. Felt and embroidery thread is becoming my favorite medium, there are so many possibilities!
I free-handed everything so each one is just a little different.
For the magnet on the back I found these great business card magnets at Joanns. They were perfect for the job. I did use some extra glue as to make sure the frame didn't detach from the sticky back of the magnet.
I ordered the wallet size photos from kodakgallery.com, which always delivers great pictures at a good price, super fast.
(I put the photo in a plastic sleeve to keep the photo safe.
I love the extra dimension that the batting adds to the frame.

Magnet backs:
Magnetic action!
Can you find it?
Thanks for looking everyone!
Cheers!!
