sewing stems of peacock feathers
Dec. 16th, 2005 07:21 pmi don't know if anyone here can help me with this, but it's worth a try.. i'm making a "peacock dress" for prom, which i'm sure is going to be a long and tedious process. i want it short in the front, with a long train of peacock feathers in the back. it looks awesome in my head, but the only thing i'm worried about is actually sewing the "stems" of the peacock feathers onto the fabric. by any chance, does anyone have any experience sewing feathers? any suggestions?
so it's not text only, my homecoming dress i made completely out of
not the best picture, but you get the idea. green/brown theme. i made his tie out of scraps from the ties i used in the dress. $1 each at goodwill!
yeah, as you can probably tell.. i'm not one for average dresses.
