Some stuff I've made...
Dec. 22nd, 2005 03:37 pmMy first craft is a skirt that came from a pair of pants that were given to me as a gift and were WAY WAY WAY too big. Since my family is here I couldn't really take them back so instead I cut out the seams in the inside legs of the pants and sewed one side overtop of the other and cut the remaining fabric. the back side took a little while because I have like no butt and it was hard to get it to look right. haha. After that I distressed it in a few places and added some random stitches in the back. It was too boring for me though, so I decided to embroider in the dove flying. It's from a picture I drew and just sewed over the paper. It took about 3 hours (yikes!) but I was watching movies with my nieces and nephew so it really wasn't that bad. ;)

The next project I did was a present for a friend. I took the top part of an old pair of jeans (I used this as a belt on skirts several times, way cute!), and took some random white sparkly fabric and sewed it on, overlapping here and there to create pleats. I'm hoping it looks better worn. :X

I also made a bracelet out of key chain rings. I have like a bazillion of them laying around and wanted to see what it would turn out like. the loops are kind of big for my tiny wrists, but it isn't THAT bad.

Sorry the pictures suck my digital camera is being funky lately.
