long long time lurker, first time poster.
Dec. 29th, 2005 11:42 pmhi my name is sarah, and i have no idea how to use this site, i did some reading, so please be kind, and correct me if i make any mistakes, so here it goes, i made a quilt for my dad, for his 53 b-day a couple months ago....

here is another photo, of my dads quilt, it is made of entirely scraps, which took along time to cut and sew. and when i say scraps i mean scraps.... from other people in my class, when they were going to throw them away, i kept them, then used them
and another, the quilt is huge, its about 6 1/2 feet long, 4 feet wide, i quilted it(which is the little swirly, stitch design) on a huge quilting machine at my old school. i used red for the center, because the pattern is called "log cabin" and traditionally woman used red to represent a fire in the cabin
