Though I have no idea why he'd be in here...

So, I was wanting to make him a nice, comfy pillow, because he's always complaining about uncomfyness and lack of sleep in his bed. I checked the memories/FAQ, but didn't find much help...

My thoughts are, I want to make a nice soft pillow, and decorate it with a sewn-on image of Jack from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I was also thinking to put little satchels of lavendar-scented potpourri in the pillow, since the scent lavendar is supposed to help you sleep, and he has much trouble with that. I was thinking, potpourri satchels inside of a pillow form, either to make one, or to buy a pre-made pillow, open it, insert them, and sew it back up.

A few questions: 1: the satchels of potpourri wont be *huge* or anything, just a bit to add a nice scent and hopefully aid sleeplessness. But is this a bad idea? Would the colors of it bleed through the pillow for any reason? Feel lumpy? Feel scratchy? Cause nightmares?? ;)

And two: What would be a nice, really soft fabric and/or pillow filling, to make the pillow case out of? I want the case to be removable, so he can wash the case separately. And don't forget, I want to sew on a soft skull-face, too, most likely out of the same fabric, if its advisable. Or, would sewing things on to a pillow case make it scratchy? I'm really going for softness but awesomeness. ^_^;;

Any help would be appreciated!! :D And sorry its text-only... not much new to show! :/

if your name is [livejournal.com profile] exile618! Because I have a (fabrics, mostly) question, dealing with a gift for him. ^_^
