in celebration of the new semester, i made a slip cover for my binder.
i'm sure i got the idea from someone on here, so thank you! to whoever you might be.
before: just a simple blue 1" binder. (i'd have a picture, but my camera's batteries died before i got the chance.)
after:
you can't tell very well from the picture (because my camera isn't very good & i'm a really bad photographer), but it's a green cloth slip cover (& the green is a lot darker in real life) with a red felt heart stiched on with green thread. the edges of the cover are already fraying, even though i sewed along them, because i cut the cloth off too close. this is the first thing i really sewed on my own, and my mom still had to sit there & laugh as i freaked out a few times trying to use the sewing machine, so i'm pretty proud of it, even though it's not perfect.
(it also needs ironing because the cloth is wrinkled like woah!)
