Mar. 2nd, 2006 12:04 pmOK, so this may be a dumb question, but I'm hoping that you ladies (and gents) can help me with it anyhow!
I've heard about making corn-filled pillows that can be microwaved or frozen to use therapeutically on sore muscles, etc. I want to make one as a present for a friend of mine, in fact. We have plenty of plain corn kernels, as my gf has a hot-air popper and we have lots of the plain corn for her to use. BUT--when you microwave it, wouldn't the corn pop? Do I just have to crack the corn first to prevent this? Or do I need to use a completely different kind of corn, like field corn that might be sold for squirrels/birds?
Thanks in advance, and sorry I've no pictures--we only recently got a digital camera and still haven't quite made it work. Soon, I hope!
