Fimo clay

I bought some Fimo polymer clay today to make beads & charms, etc. My question is, what do I store the opened clay in after I take it out of the packaging? Will it dry? How long does it take before the clay starts going bad and unusable?

I've also read about how you probably shouldn't bake your clay in the same toaster you put your food in...how serious is this? I'm not making them to sell or anything, I'm probably not going to be making that many. I don't really want to buy a toaster for that. So is it alright to do it a few times, or is it too toxic?

Do you guys usually paint your polymer clay after you bake it? I only have about 8 clay colors. If so, what kind of paint/paint markers do you use?

Finally, how long do you bake them for?

Edit: Btw, I thought I'd put this here...when I was buying the colors today, I accidently bought classic for my white and black instead of soft like all my other colors. They are a pain in the butt, and I've only used about a dime size amount of each. Does anywhere here want to take them? I'll be happy to give them to you for free if you have use of them. How much is shipping anyway? I've never sent anything to anyone, so I don't know anything about that stuff. But please let me know if you would like them! :)
