Alright, craft girls, I need some help brainstorming.

I'm meeting with a man tomorrow who wants to make a
giant origami zoo
for the city arts festival this summer.

Now, I have been puzzling over this all day... what materials would you use to make something GIGANTIC via origami? (This will also be outdoors, although I don't imagine that whatever it is needs to be completely waterproof or anything...) So far I have very few ideas... except for possibly making a patchwork of tons and tons of smaller pieces of paper (which would still be cool). Maybe someone knows of something construction-related or the like that I am unaware of?

Also, does anyone have any input on good animal models to use? I think there should be traditional models, and then lots of outlandish things too.

Thanks, sorry for the text-only but I do promise you pictures of any giant origami endeavors that follow this post. ;)
