Book safe and incense box (image heavy)
Apr. 14th, 2006 01:07 amFinally! I have a real problem finishing projects, but tonight I get to post something.
This is a book safe for a friend I will be staying with in Massachusetts next week.
Here's a shot of the cover:

The inside:

The colors are true in this shot. I used tissue paper.
The back of the safe:

The picture's a bit hard to make out. It reads, "Tons of earth and rock came pouring down".
Also, three other books I found on today's Goodwill excursion:

I've realized I can't cut into these until I read them... And I know if I do that, I might never be able to. I was guilt-tripped by my roommate; we've both worked in a book store. :]
Another project:
I started this for my (other) roommate an embarrassing amount of time ago, but I got distracted. I wanted to give her a nice box for her incense to replace the plastic case she's using now.
Here it is, post-burning but pre-painting:

Now:

(The white only reflects this much under the flash)
& a closeup:

I've still got a lot of detail work to do on this, but for now I think I'm going to take another break from it and let her get some use out of it!
