First post, and I'm so in awe of most of the stuff I see here!

I was looking for an iPod cover/case pattern for the model of iPod I have (30GB), but didn't find any, so I ended up making my own last night. It's a really simple design, but it seems to work. I used some fleece-type fabric for mine--I think it needs something snazzy for the front, but otherwise it's basically done. Took less than an hour to put together.

Front, with flap closed. I added some elastic bands so I can wear it on my arm, but those are removable--they go through two channels at the back.

Front, flap open. I used velcro 'cause it was simplest, but whatever works, really...

I made a basic pattern for this--you can see where the iPod goes if you want to make sure the pocket's the right size before you start sewing. For the straps on the back, I just sewed two rectangles of fabric at the top and the bottom for elastic bands to go through, and self-adhesive velcro also seems to work for holding the straps on, which is handy. :)
