mmmm soap!

Look at this grapefruit lily soap I made yesterday :) It smells so good. I can not wait till it is cured so I can use it. Yum
It is cold process soap (not melt and pour). The orange square in the middle has veins of sparkly copper mica that does not show up well in the photograph. The orange square also has some ground up botanicals of rose petal and calendula for a bit of texture. I used Olive, Soy, Canola and Coconut oils for the soap. The purple is FD&C blue #1 (the blue FD&C reacts to the alkaline in the saponification process and turns purple)
In about 3-4 weeks it will be ready to use and I will be putting them up on my website with all my other soap babies :)
Just thought I would share a bar of cold process soap here at craftgrrl and perhaps inspire some of you to start making soap from scratch. It is really addicting
