May. 20th, 2006 06:22 pmHurrah for the end of the year! I've finally had time to work on a few projects, now that classes are winding down:)
While cleaning out my drawers, I realized I had 2 pairs of pants which were ripped to the point of being completely unwearable, and the legs of 2 other pairs (yes, just the legs. don't ask me why, I havn't a clue).
Enter scissors, sewing machine, and a large dose of not really caring how it turned out, and these unwearables came out the other end of the creative process as a fun multi-denim skirt!

It comes to just above my knees, and flicks out on either side a bit

Unfortunately it got a little bit lumpy in one spot, but I don't mind enough to rip it out;)

I also came across a white frame, which for some inexplicable reason had my name written on it in red...that wasn't going to be much use for anything, so I painted it fire-engine red and mod-podged some lines from a crazy old german book onto the right side!
It clashes with my walls, but in a good way I think;)
Finally, the tie-dye! We were originally going to dye spats for my date, but didn't realize that they're made of such thick canvas stuff that it was absolutely impossible to tie. Instead, we did his tuxedo shirt! He got an awsome reaction, and I wore opera gloves to cover that my finger was dyed bright green;)
