clay question

craftgrrlI just checked the memories and didn't see anything pertaining to my question, but what I'm wondering is, how do you properly store clay? I just bought two bricks of polymer clay and don't know if there's any proper way to store clay once the package has been opened. What can I do to keep my clay from hardening?
