Sewing spree!
Jun. 13th, 2006 11:03 pmI haven't posted since last year but since summer is here I've gotten back into craftyness... and particularly sewing because I won't have a machine in my dorm next year so I want to get a bunch done before then!!
This is the first "good" bag that I've sewn. I used some fabric I got at this old woman's estate sale a while back and an old belt that was too small. I also used this old red vest for the inside liner, which was convenient because it had a zipper pocket in it that fit right into the inside of the bag. The second picture shows the little "accessories" that I always attach to my purses to personalize them.

My mom had this dress from the 60s or 70s with really ridiculous sleeves and fringy neckline, so I turned it into a skirt. I really love it now!

Next I am planning to make a tie for my dad for Father's Day and one for my boyfriend as part of his 4 year anniversary gift. I am also going to make some pajama shorts from some extra Winnie the Pooh fabric.
