question about inkjet shrink plastic

sooo i just got some nifty ink jet shrink plastic made by grafix arts. i tested both sides as per the instructions and both smear. one side smears a tad bit less. after printing the ink had all bubbled up and if i even accidently nudge it while cutting them out, the design smears. is this normal? i know a few of you have printed some nice photos on the inkjet film so i thought i'd ask...
