Stuff I've Been Working On
Jul. 5th, 2006 11:01 pmI bought some fimo when they had it on sale at Michael's and made my very first cane by following a tutorial on www.tooaquarius.com that someone here linked to a while ago.

It's pretty small. Since it was the first one I had ever done, I didn't want to waste a lot of clay if I screwed it up.

This is the second cane I made. It's also very small, and was weird to reduce. I had trouble with it since it wasn't round. The middle vein of the leaf managed to disappear somehow, but I think it still looks okay.
Now that I've made a couple of canes, I'd love some suggestions on what to use it for. I had fun making the cane, but now I can't decide what to do with it.

I also made a bag. This is the original that I used as an example.

Here's the one I made. It's a drawstring/backpack kind of thing. The straps to the bag are the drawstring for the top. I had a hard time figuring out how to reproduce it. It took about four hours, but I finally managed it.
