Sort of off topic: jewlery organization

craftgrrlMy collection of long necklaces and chunky bangles has grown so that hanging them over my shelfs little posts doesn't work anymore.
I know I could easily bang a few nails into a piece of wood for the necklaces, but how the heck do I keep my bangles all together?
I kind of want ONE little unit for it all, I have a really really nice jewlery box, but the long necklaces don't fit and the bangles are too "tall."
Any ideas crafty ladies?
