Baby shower gift / baby sling

I'm gonna have a niece real soon, so I wanted to make my brother's girfriend something she could use.






A baby sling! I've heard wonderful things about these so I thought she would appreciate one.
I used this tutorial: Maya Wrap

I didn't have time to search for metal rings so I used these plastic rings. My friend uses a maya wrap and she said they might be too big and uncomfortable but I made it last night and the shower was today and I tried it out with weight and it seemed ok.

I took a picture fast this morning, it should sit down lower than that... shitty picture...


Just in case I made a little pillow for cushion:


With the leftover material I made a little plush butterfly (her room is all butterfly decor)


And then I made the bag for everything to fit into it!



And that's it. I thought of it all last night and luckily got it done on time. Oh yeah, and she said she liked it, so that's a plus!
