my boyfriends birthday was last week. and i made him a sketckbook since his current one is alsmot full and falling apart:







i used this tutorial. with a few modifications.
made from a pair of horrible 80s cords and an old grey tshirt.
i think there was about 60 half pages in there, but looking at it now, i wish i would have taken the time to add more.

it started out as a cheap simplewhite wooden chair from a flea market. me and my friend keri completely covered it in toliet bowl wax and pressed cheap yarn into the wax. (yep! it's ALLL yarn) and finally putting a clear varnish over it to seal it all down. it took about 40 hours total, but the end product was completely worth it.
the chair was auctioned off at a cancer benifit thing with other less interesting painted chairs
