blankie situation solved :)
Aug. 31st, 2006 10:29 amI just wanted to thank you all for all of the blankie ideas I got yesterday. We made a decision on what to do with Granky. We went and purchased a similar blanket, the Kuddle-Up Supreme Thermal Baby Blanket in white online as a replacement blanket and I'm going to make a pillow out of the old and tattered blanket. Someone told me about Sulky Solvy, it's this sticky solvent that holds fabric together so I can fold the blankie up into a square/rectangle shape, do all of my stitching, and then throw it in the washer. The Sulky will act as tape while I sew and then will dissolve in the wash. I'm going to make it so that Granky is on one side of the pillow and some sort of car fabric is on the other side of the pillow. This way James will have a new Granky that he can carry around and an original Granky pillow to sleep with. Thanks for all of the help and suggestions!
