back to school nifty knitting

i made a hat and scarf last week. it's still way too hot to wear them (hence the tank top underneath), but they are very cozy. i actually started the hat off with crochet, but got fed up because the yarn was impossible to see (its that hairy looking stuff, can't remember what it's called... i love it though, very soft and wonderful!). i mixed said hairy yarn with some other soft bulky yarn. the whole lot took an evening to do, and the scarf is reasonably long. nifty knitters really rock.
