Dress idea - help! (sorry if this is considered off topic!)

I'm trying to plan my wedding, and I was thinking of a tuxedo-style dress. I've found some pictures on Google, but none of them look like what I want.

Here's what I'm thinking of:
Picture a black tux with a white shirt.
Take off the jacket and vest.
Then make the shirt a corsetish halter top (keeping the buttons and maybe the tie) and make the pants a skirt.


Has anyone seen anything like this? How hard would it be to make?
