The kimono with the red band has been fixed! The red now stops at the waist. Thanks for the advice. :)

Here are two links that keep coming up when I search kimono pattern.

I believe there is a Butterick pattern for a kimono (real pretty cover) and it is easy and that is how I got used to what the pieces looked like and
then added my own style.
Now I just look at the fabric and cut. :)
