Feb. 8th, 2003 02:02 pmNew sewing projects, cut for people who don't care. =)
There's a fleece baby outfit, shaped like a chili pepper, a (very crudely) appliqued rice bag that I'm going to use during labor, and the breastfeeder's diaper bag, that someone posted the link to a few days ago. (Well, they posted a link to something on the same page, but this was there too.). It's a neutral enough pattern that you could use it even if you have no interest in diapers at all. It doesn't look that big, but it holds a lot!

A little red fleece outfit, shaped like a chili pepper. I think it's pretty cute, but I also think that she's going to grow up to hate me,
for making her wear such goofy outfits. =)

A rice bag, for labor.
It's filled with rice and dried lavender, and the rice is scented with a lavender and honey oil mix. Made from a piece of felt and fleece scraps from the pepper outfit.

An altered version of the breastfeeder's diaper bag. Mine has a couple of the pockets left off, and no elastic (Also, no velcro to hold the flap down, as of right now.)
I honestly didn't think this bag would be big enough to function as a diaper bag, when it was about half done, but figured that it was a good size for a purse anyhow. Once I got it done, I threw in a package of wipes, 3 diapers (Newborn sized, but still...) and a couple of other random things, and there is still a ton of space. It'll also function as a purse after she's out of diapers, which is more than I can say for some of the cutesy baby bags in the store. Ugh. Black, lined in red and black animal print from an old shirt. Recycle!
