Thanks for the help with butterflies!
Hopefully, this info can go in the memories. UTEE stands for Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. It works like a resin but is safe and easier to use. T
You can melt it with an embossing gun but even better is to buy the Melting Pot (http://www.schmoozewithsuze.com/product/product.php?pID=020707184224). The melting pot can be purchased in the US at Michaels, Joanne's,Hobby Lobby for about $34.00 (Don't forget the 40 to 50% off coupons). Joanne's has an online coupon for 40% off right now. Anyone out of the states should be able to get it off EBAY or check online sites.
After you melt the UTEE in the pot, you can pour it into polymer clay or resin molds. You really need some kind of release on the polymer clay molds. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to melt. They also offers an additive called FLEX that will make the UTEE harden like resin. The UTEE comes in a bunch of different colors and they have dyes to tint the clear UTEE.
The main thing to remember is that UTEE hardens quickly! It is usually hard within 3 or 4 minutes. I usually pour one layer then place whatever I am embedding quickly. Then, pour the second layer. Most of the time I make a frame of polymer clay and paint it. The other good thing about the melting pot is that it will bake polymer clay and save tons of time. I have one for the UTEE and one for polymer clay.
You can get a ton of information and projects ideas from Suze Weinburg's website.

If you want to see more of the pendants I made with it, I have a link on my profile page. I am way tired from this weekend. If I left anything out, please just ask and I will edit this post. The only drawbacks I have found is it's more expensive to use and isn't as clear as resin.
If you do end up using it, please post picts here. I'd love to see what you come up with :)
