edit: "Could you talk about the crafting process?"
sure :)     First off, this was done on watercolor paper. I sketched the girl, then (stupidly) outlined her in a cheap black fine tip marker. The marker ran a little bit when I did the background . .so it was painstaking to keep the colors separate. The crown, background, moon, and green "halo" are all watercolor. There was originally a hammer next to her hands, but I edited that out once I got this on the computer. The "blocks" and text were all added in MS Paint. *Note: if you can master MS Paint, you can really take it far haha.

Overall, this came out pretty much how I wanted it to. However, I was in a rush and rather than scan it, I just took a photo. In MS Paint, I shrunk it so the black outlines in her body are not nearly as sharp as in real life. I should have gone over it in the program, but . .again . .hasty. haha I'm sort of kicking myself because I think I hindered my chances of winning . .it could have been more polished. (This is also an automatically resized version from the site I submitted it to . .it does look somewhat more polished in the final one.)

Anyway, the deadline for the contest (which I failed to mention is for the band's backstage pass) is the end of the month, so I'm excited to see the results. The other submissions are really nice, too.

edit 2: Is it frowned upon to put a link to where folks can vote for this in the contest?
