i need to figure out how to make the rainbow brite costume/dress i just made NOT make me look pregnant.

i have an idea... that MIGHT work... or might screw up all the superb work i just did.

It's one of those empire waists... (i think that's what it's called) the skirt begins a few inches below my breasts. (i'm a big girl) and the skirt just BILLOWS making me look BIGGER. yuck. so far the dress is just blue and rainbow and white. now rainbow brite wore a red sorta aprin... i'm thinking cut the skirt... and reattach with a red band to add more length between my boobs and skirt... kinda putting the billow down to my non-existant hips and hopefully creating hips... thing is i have'nt sewn in years and am afraid that straying that far from the pattern will "F" it up.

*sigh*

maybe i just need experienced advice and/or motivation.

here's a general idea ( i haven't unpacked my cam yet.. so you get to see my high quality MS PAINT SKILLS)

i also realize that my costume is'nt a dead ringer but it'll definatly be no guessing on who i'll be as long as you've heard of rainbow brite! OH and i have rainbow striped knee high socks.

so... any tips or words of courage would all be appreciated... it's either that or i go with the naughty nun costume i already have... cool too... but just NOT the same.

I will have photos at some point to post... not that my MSP SKILLS just are'nt impressive ;)
