craftgrrlSo what does everybody do with their left over christmas tree decorations?
Every time we put up a christmas tree (this has been our first in a few years) we do kind of a goofy one, this year we basically created every 5 year old girls dream christmas tree, and it is fabulous. The only problem is, we have massive amounts of glittery star/snowflake hybrids and little pink and purple plastic balls and I can't see us ever using them again. Now I'm not one to waste things so I really want to put these to good use after the holiday season.
The most common reaction to the tree is somewhere along the lines of "OH. MY. GOD"
We pretty much gutted the pegasus and stuck it on the top branch, after christmas the stomach will be sewed back up and given to my little cousin Gracie, shes 3 and won't notice the stitches.
these are the decorations I was talking about, the balls are plastic so I think with some of them I'm going to make into cat toys (insert something jingly and plug up the opening, or attach ribbons, ect) but I have about 30 of them, and only one cat. I also have about 30-45 star/snowflakes in purple and hot pink(see tree) and I would really REALLY love to do something neat that I can use all year round with these but I'm just stumped as to what.
Next year will be Star Wars, I can't wait for that one.
