A while ago, someone posted some fabric stamping... where they took a stamp and put material on it and ironed it so the material would have that imprint on it. I was wondering if that would work on other fabrics (they did it on a velvet fabric.)

I'm planning on making a quilt for my boyfriend for Christmas, and I wanted it to possibly have some kanji or some characters on it, and I found some perfect stamps at Michaels. If the ironing thing doesn't work, what would you suggest for stamping the images onto the fabric without it getting all blobby?
