My new obsession!
Feb. 5th, 2007 04:49 pmI haven't posted in ages, because I have finally found the jewelry medium that truly lets me voice what I've been trying to get through with my jewelry for a few years, and would only occasionally really hit upon. I first discovered maille work as a jewelry art form about two years ago, and picked it up a little bit. After a long adventure around and about just about every other jewelry-related art form up to and including hot glasswork, I've come back home to maille.
This is 'Mirth,' Japanese weave maille in sterling silver and anodized niobium. The pendant is pewter, from Green Girl Studios, which I first learned about from this community in fact!

This one is called Flame. It is the same size as Mirth, and hangs in the same way so I included just the detail image.

This is Twilight, the same pattern as Flame with a different color diffusion.

And finally, one of my more punky pieces, these are the ones I've been really delving into lately and I'll have more pics of this type of style up very soon (I killed my camera's batteries taking this last batch of pictures... -_-)
