Knitting Machine Question
Feb. 27th, 2007 08:01 pmSo, last night I started my first ever sweater machine project. Yep, you guessed it - a Harry Potter scarf. It is already finished (well, almost - see following question). I can't believe it. The machine is amazing! It happened so fast it's like a posse of house elves came over and did it all while I wasn't looking.
My question is this: what happens after the elastic is snipped off? Will the scarf start unravelling at that end? Will I need to do something to that end?
The instruction booklet doesn't give any instructions after telling the knitter to snip the elastic. I have joined the Yahoo! group for machine knitting, but I'm no masochist so I don't enjoy sifting through the search results of the posts there.
Here are pictures of where I'm at so far:
You can sort of see the seam here, but I stopped working on the seam because...

it is still attached to the weight thingie.

Please help! Thank you!
EDIT:
Well, I did what any adventurous crafter would do and just went at it with some scissors. It worked!
