tension problems
May. 10th, 2007 12:43 ami've got an elna 2005 and i've been having problems with my tension. a few weeks back i attempted to make some buttonholes (very unsuccessfully too, I HATE MY MACHINES BUTTONHOLES) and since then the tension on my machine has been really off.
it doesn't seem to matter what i have it set on, its too tight. it doesn't look so bad on the underside, just a little crooked, but on the top its too tight and the bottom thread is being pulled through a bit.
i've read the manual (its not much help at all), rethreaded both the bobbin and the needle, i've even changed the needle on the off chance that it was something like that.
anyone got any ideas? i'm hoping i don't have to put my machine in for a service, as i'd like to use it tomorrow or on friday. its incredibly frustrating. walking away and coming back and suddenly being able to work it out just isn't working this time.
