I finally decided on yarn and colors and a pattern for the afghan for my boyfriend. I have decided that I wanted to knit it doing the stockinette stitch. I have tried almost every needle under the friggin sun. I still cant get the look of the stockinette stitch, it is almost to the point of it looking like a garter stitch. Then after a few rows its looks like I have been knit 1 purl 1 for a row. Im starting to get frustrated.

Any suggestions or tips? Thanks everyone! And sorry for it being a picture-less post. I will post pictures as soon as the afghan is done.

PS. The yarn Im using is Red Heart Soft Yarn. (it was on sale, its machine washable, and its soft. I made a test patch and tied it to my dogs collar to see how it would stand up. Of course it will probably be better taken care at a fraternity house but it survived my two year old puppy that enjoys getting dirty. =D)
